Subic has been blessed with several tourist attractions all over the bay area, but the one that seems to be most popular to families is the Zoobic Safari. Zoobic is divided into different sections and attractions, each one filled with the most unique and beautiful creatures from the wild. Let your kids experience the wonders of the wild at the only safari in Subic, because it is as exciting as it is educational!

Thanks to the terrain, streams and grassland of this 25-hectare park, animals are able to live in their nature habitats in the forests. Most visitors look forward to the tiger safari experience where they may come face to face with full-sized Siberian tigers. Guests are asked to ride on a secured vehicle with safari guides to observe these animals in their natural habitat. You certainly don’t want to miss seeing them gorge themselves on live chickens at heart-staggeringly close proximity.

Head on to the steel grated walkway where you’ll find 200 snapping crocodiles directly below your feet. Purchase a quarter of a chicken and dangle it on a fishing pole as you watch the croc snap it away from you. If you get as hungry as the crocs, walk down to the Crocodile Café and view these creatures from a water-glass observation area while you munch on your own goodies. Or you may choose to sizzle with the snakes as you get an up-close view of both small and large reptiles. From the huge pythons to the simple king snakes, see them side by side with their huge family of reptiles such as the lizards, iguanas and turtles.

Drive your vehicle to the Savannah to see a farm of exotic animals such as wild boards, ostriches, and potbelly pigs. If rodents are your animals of interest, check out Rodent World where species of tiny guinea pigs, porcupines and the very large Palawan rats can be seen. There is even a grooming station where guests can see the rodents get their hair done.

Now if you want to see people instead of animals, you may take the Aetas trail to see realistic Aeta villages with their homes and cooking areas. These native Filipino people will also put on a great tribal show that includes the butterfly and war dance. You will marvel at their amazing athletic abilities as they perform impressive stunts during the monkey dance.

Finally, real animal lovers are in for a treat at the petting show in the Zoobic Safari in Subic. Hold a baby tiger in your arms as you feed it or hold an iguana or python with your bare hands. The safari opens opportunities for people to touch and hold these trained animals, and this definitely makes for a great photo op!

Zoobic is a great place to treat the kids on the weekend. Entrance fees are around 395-495 pesos depending on the day of visit but you should probably bring a little more in case you want to ride on the jeepneys, trains or taxis inside the park to get around the area more quickly. Few adventures can compare to this extraordinary safari in Subic, so make sure to stop by with the whole family.
